What is branding anyway?

It is far more than just a logo! A strong, comprehensive brand lets your customer get to know you. It can help set you apart from your competition by identifying qualities your audience may also deem important, like trust, dependability and honesty. This may lead them to select your product or service over another because you have built a solid relationship with them by consistently telling your story, keeping your message clear and supporting it with recognizable visual elements. When executed well, solid branding can create loyalty, repeat customers and referrals which equal a total win for you.

It seems kind of expensive, why should I invest that much?

I get it. It's a lot of money but branding is a serious and ongoing investment in the style and presentation of your business to your audience. Think about it... If you were opening a nice fresh restaurant you'd paint the walls, buy nice chairs, install good lighting, hang pictures, use quality dishware and so on to create an experience for your customer, right? Sure you would, because the product isn't always enough to get people in the door. Branding is that experience. It's the face of your company, the first impression you provide for new customers and how your audience perceives you. It is the strongest visual presence that you have to communicate with your customer base. It will help build loyalty, help your audience understand who you are, convey your message without having to say a word, establish cusotmer expectations, elevate your legitimacy as a professional business, attract the audience you're trying to reach, create visual opportunities for consistent marketing, speak to your people through visuals rather than sales pitches just to name a few. Long story short—it matters. Initial branding may be a little pricey, but think about the longevity and frequency of use of the items you will receive. A logo should be used for a minimum of 2 years, preferrably 5, in order to build brand recognition and loyalty. Spread the cost out over 5 years and it's a relatively minimal investment expense. Plus, everyone who interacts with your company will see it. That's a pretty big deal.

Do you take on design work that isn't branding?

Of course! I focus on branding to help small business owners similar to myself, but I'm a graphic designer at heart and who loves new challenges. If you have a project you'd like to discuss then email me!

How long does the design process take?

Every project and timeline is different based on client needs, response times, revisions, etc. but here is a general breakdown of what you can expect: 1. Logo Design and Logo Refresh: approx 2 weeks 2. Brand Package: 4-6 weeks 3. Web Options: 4-8 weeks Items like Collateral and Custom Requests will vary by project. Please visit the "Services" page to download the PRICE GUIDE for more specific information on process and packages.

When can we get started?

Since this is a one-woman operation I can only take on so many brand clients at a time in order to ensure satisfaction and ample time to focus on the needs and design solutions of each. My availablity changes with each month so I cannot guarantee rigid schedules but if you have a launch date or timeframe you are aware of please let me know when we chat prior to booking your project to make sure my schedule will allow it. I will work with you as best I can to ensure that we get started as soon as possible.

What if I want to add items to a package?

No problem! You can add items at any time and I will quote these for you a la carte.

What is your payment policy?

All packages require an up-front non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total due. This compensates me for time and work invested in your project and potentially turning down other clients. The reamining 50% is due before final release of files. Retainer and hourly work is billed accordingly. I manage client content and payments through HoneyBook, which provides a secure payment portal and accepts both debit and major credit cards.
